B. Setting Up SIMON

Once the server running SIMON has been configured by the SIMON Development Team (S.D.T), the school will need to configure their school specific data in the system. The following sections will guide users through this process and give suggestions about the structure of the data that may be entered.

NOTE: Careful planning is required when configuring data structures so that the codes used in Staff and Student Imports (See: Import File Documentation) match the imported fields such as Year Level Codes, House Codes, Homeroom Codes, Vertical System Types etc.
